You don’t have to be a genius to know the relationship between the Christian church in America and the Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender (GLBT) community is at best strained. Andrew Marin has written this book hoping that by sharing his stories of caring for GLBT individuals we will be able to “elevate” our ability to start mutually beneficial conversations.
In addition to personal anecdotes, Marin includes very thought-provoking sections on gay theological perceptions, including one on the “key points” of gay Christian apologetics.
If you are looking for a clear stance on moral objections to homosexuality, this is not your book. What Marin does have is a simple and clear perspective of how authentic Christian love can help build bridges with an often abused or ignored portion of American culture.
