Short-term mission trips are important to youth ministry success. Youth ministry leaders can learn from experienced leaders about planning short-term mission trips at a Nov. 4-5 workshop at North Park University’s Magnuson Campus Center, Room 2.

Short-term mission trips teach students about kingdom building, expose them to different cultures and explore their spiritual gifts. Workshop participants will learn from a panel of leaders at a roundtable discussion on Nov. 4, from 6 to 9 p.m. Featured panelists are Dale Lusk, Covenant MERGE Ministries, Chicago; Eric Iverson, YouthWorks, Minneapolis; and Terry Linhart, Bethel College, Mishawaka, Ind. Participants will be able to ask questions, and the discussion will be available via webcast.

The Nov. 5 session, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., will be in-depth workshop on how to develop, manage and supervise youth ministry short-term mission trips.

Registration fee for the mission trip workshop is $40. The webcast is free, but registration is required. Register at Northpark.edu  or for more information.
