Revelation 7:9-10 “After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb."
I went and got my hair cut for SuperProm recently, and as I was sitting in the chair watching some stranger fix up my hair a thought occurred to me; the need to fix up our hair must have be a result of the curse. Yeah, the fact that we have to take care of our hair is probably just one more of the results of the fall of humanity when Adam and Eve sinned and rebelled against God. I’m willing to bet that while they were in the garden, Adam and Eve never had worry about their hair. They never had to get it cut, get it permed, get it colored, get it curled or straightened or highlighted or anything. I think they had perfect hair. Then they sinned, the curse fell over the earth and their bodies, they were kicked out of the garden of Eden and they started looking for a good salon. Okay, so I don’t know for sure that’s the case, but I really dislike hair cuts, so I can’t see how the need to get them is anything but the result of the curse. I do have good news, however, there’s going to come a time when we won’t have to worry about our hair, our appearance or anything else. When Jesus comes to take us home to heaven all we’ll be concerned with is praising God. Won’t that be nice? Isn’t that good news?
