Objective: To help students see how God wove a thread of redeeming love through the Bible, culminating with the greatest expression of love, Jesus’ death and resurrection.

Scripture Focus: Genesis 3:1-13, 21-24; 12:1-5; Leviticus 4:27-31; Mark 15:16-39

Supporting Scripture: 1 Peter 1:18-19; 1 John 1:2; 1 Peter 1:3-5

Overview: The story of Jesus’ death and resurrection is a story that will be intimately familiar to many of your students. However, do they understand the context behind the story? Do they know Jesus’ death and resurrection was the culmination of a thread of redeeming love God had begun to weave through our lives since creation? This lesson will paint a picture for your students of a God who worked through history to bring redemption to His children. They’ll learn the work isn’t done yet! The Thread of Love is a Scripture-rich experience that will stay with your students long after your meeting time.
