Within a circle about eight or twelve feet in diameter, two players take a squatting position, with arms crossed in front of their chests. The object is for each person to try to force his opponent out of the circle, or to make him lose balance and fall, or to make him touch a hand to the ground. Players may butt, push, and shove with their bodies but the crouching position is maintained throughout the contest. Because bouncing in a crouched posture is very tiring, players should compete for only three minutes before being replaced by two other opponents.
